The Challenge & Design Approach

Clean Curls® aimed to create a brand that appeals to families with curly hair, while maintaining a modern and cool aesthetic to resonate with Gen Z audiences. The challenge was to find the right balance between a playful, retro-inspired look and a sleek, luxurious design that felt both premium and approachable.

We collaboratively developed a vibrant pastel colour palette, combining contemporary, playful elements with clean, modern lines. The logo design captured the fluidity of curls through retro-inspired typography, adding movement and a sense of playfulness.

Hand-drawn illustrations of curls and natural product ingredients were incorporated to reflect the brand’s ethos of being non-toxic and family-friendly, while injecting personality. These design elements were seamlessly applied across all touchpoints, from product packaging and promotional story cards to online banners and digital assets, ensuring consistency and a cohesive brand identity.
